2nd On-site BioS Project Partnership Meeting in Athens

On 22 and 23 of October 2018, the BioS Consortium met in Athens, Greece, to follow up on past activities and achievements in the framework of our project Digital Skills on Computational Biology.

With 23 participants, all member organizations except one were represented. The meeting was accompanied by BioS EACEA Project Officer as well as Financial Officer from Brussels who used this event as monitoring visit. EACEA’s representatives supervised the project process and gave guidance on specific issues which partners faced in the process of the project.

The partner meeting was filled with presentations on delivered results reflecting the status quo of the project, discussions on further developments and group work on different topics and work packages.

Special focus was given to the topics: recognition and validation of the BioS course on national level; handling of the External Advisory Board, Focus Group and Piloting Group; Policy Briefs; Quality Assurance Plan and Evaluation.

Next to content related activities, the meeting gave space to the participants to get to know each other better and therewith to create a fruitful working environment.

The second meeting day was concluded with the visit of the Biotechnology laboratories and the state-of-the-art scientific instrumentation of National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF).
